- Call 0800 019 1443 to register your interest.
- Complete the enquiry form and submit it.
We can talk through your organisation's requirements, and advise you on how best to proceed. Once you have decided to go ahead and apply for the Standard, we will send you a proposal and arrange to start the assessment process.
Assessment
During initial discussions you will choose one of two types of assessment:
- Certification only: If you have a straightforward footprint, all the information necessary and the evidence to support your application, you can complete your own assessment form and submit it to us. An independent assessor will then assess your organisation’s carbon reduction activities against the Standard. This assessment will include visiting your organisation, and verifying the evidence contained in the application.
- Assisted certification: If you think you need some help in collating and presenting the data and completing the assessment form then we can provide some additional support. The assessor will spend more time working with you to help in completing the assessment form as well as assessing compliance with the Standard.
Moderation
If the assessor believes your organisation meets the Standard, the assessor will pass your application for moderation. Independent moderators will review each assessment to verify the conclusions.
Certification
On successful assessment the Carbon Trust Standard Company will certify your organisation, division or site and award a certificate. Your organisation will then be able to use the Carbon Trust Standard logo to prove your climate change credentials.
